Your account

Change your name, email and password, connect GitHub, see your sessions and deactivate your account.

This page explains what you can change on your account page, and what happens when you deactivate your account. Open it from the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar: Account settings.

Profile

Your name appears in the account menu and in the member lists of your organizations. It can be 1 to 100 characters. Your picture is your GitHub picture when you connected GitHub; otherwise the dashboard shows your initials.

Email

To move your account to another address, choose Change email and enter the new address. We first send a link to your current address. When you open it, we send a second link to the new address. When you open that one, the change applies, your other sessions are signed out, and your current address gets a notice. Email notifications from your organizations then go to the new address.

If the new address already belongs to another account, nothing happens and no email is sent.

Password

With a password, enter your current password and the new one (at least 12 characters). Changing it signs out your other sessions.

If you signed up with GitHub and have no password, choose Set a password. We email you a link to set one; after that you can also sign in with your email and password.

GitHub

Choose Connect to sign in with GitHub as well. The GitHub account must have a verified primary email. Disconnect removes it again, as long as you have a password: you cannot remove your only way to sign in.

Sessions

The sessions table lists every device signed in to your account, with the browser, the IP address, when it was last active and when it signed in. The device you are using is marked (this device). Revoke signs one device out; Sign out other sessions signs out all but this one.

Deactivating your account

Deactivate account signs you out everywhere and stops your notifications. Your organizations show you as deactivated in their member lists, and admins can remove you.

  • Type your email address to confirm. If you signed in more than 15 minutes ago, you are asked to sign in again first (reauthentication-required).
  • You cannot deactivate while you are the only owner of an organization. The page lists those organizations; make another member an owner first (sole-owner, Members and roles).
  • For 90 days you can reactivate the account: sign in, or open https://dlogify.com/account-deactivated, and ask for a reactivation link. The link works once, for 1 hour, and brings back the same account with its organizations.
  • After 90 days the account is deleted permanently. Signing up again with the same address then creates a new account.
